Aqua Blue Polishes Swatch Comparison

June 6, 2012

It’s no secret that I’m loving all the aqua blue-ish green polishes that brands are coming out with these days. Even though all the shades I own are rather similar, I just. can’t. help. myself. LOL! So, I broke out all my aqua polishes and thought I’d show the differences.

A line up of polishes are shown after the swatches. Bottles are in the order shown in the swatch photos. Enjoy!

Left to Right: China Glaze For Audrey, Zoya Wednesday,
Eyeko Vintage Polish, Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqualily

Left to right: China Glaze Aquadelic, Color Club New Bohemian,

great timing! i’m normally a red/plum type of girl, so i pushed myself to try something in the blue family. so a couple days ago i put on OPI Fly, which is a darker teal/aqua color. it’s growing on me! (i’m staring at them as i type, lol) i have the zoya wednesday, will probably try it out next, but i am loving your shade of rescue beauty lounge aqually :)

I LOVE the Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqualily. Where do they sell that brand?

    • kristina June 6, 2012 at 12:03 pm

You can get them at http://www.rescuebeauty.com

RBL is a super small company but they have a cult following because the polish formula is just amazing. I think for the most part it’s just a one woman show, with the the owner Ji doing most of the work to keep the company going. :)

Unfortunately, Aqua Lily is sold out at the moment. But she’s bringing it back in the fall! YAY! If you want to make sure you catch it, you might sign up for their newsletter. They send you a special link when pre-orders happen, too. :)

Wow, that’s a lot of auqa-blues! Out of these, I only have For Audrey but I too really love the RBL shade; thanks for sharing!

I am in love with this range of colours too. And I think it looks super cute and beachy with a white stamp on it too, like a little offset flower (not that my stamping is very good yet, lol).

Wow….. U actually buy all of them? How do you finish using them or prevent then from dying before you finish using them?!

    • kristina June 11, 2012 at 4:22 pm

You just make sure the cap is on tight and they don’t dry out for a long long time. But if they do, you can use Seche Restore. Just a few drops and it bring old clumpy polishes back to life. :)

I’ve fallen in love with teals and aqua blues this season. I can’t stop buying them. This is the first post I’ve found that compared many of them. I missed out on Aqua Lily and hope to get it later but it would have been so perfect this summer. So far, out of the ones you showed, I only have St. Tropez but I think I’m going to order Wednesday today. Thanks.
