Picked up Deborah Lippman Mermaid’s Dream last week from Nail Polish Canada. I’ve worn it once on my nails, but I think it will become a pedicure polish instead. It’s a pretty chunky glitter and I can’t stand anything but immaculate smoothness on my nails (thank you, Seche Vite!). I even put two coats of my topcoat on. Still was kind of bumpy, though. But for toes, I think it wouldn’t bother me.
It sure is dreamy, right? Very mermaid-y. :)
That is a fabulous color! What about trying to buff it slightly, then adding the top coat? It might just smooth it enough, that the top coat would fill in the little bumps. I’m a clear polish wearing, so I don’t know if it would work, just thought I would offer a suggestion.
Omgosh!!
That is my new fav!!
I love it probably more than I should lol!! ;-)
that color is just so pretty!!!
Oh, wow… I love it!
this is a great color. have you tryed gel polish? it is very smooth but I hated the removal process. thanks *denise*
Nope, no gel for me. I change my polish color too often. :)
Have you tried putting Gelous base coat over glitter, then your Seche Vite? It smooths out just about anything.
Ooo! I’m intrigued!
beautiful mani!
have you tried Gelous? I don’t have access to it myself, but the girls on the nail boards always comment how it really works to smooth glitters :)
I’ll have to try that! :)
I like the gelous brand of gel polish on my toenails. but I hate taking if off! I think all that soaking and scraping damages my nails and they are not too nice anyway. *denise*
