Are you ready for a gorgeous dark red glitter? OPI’s Underneath the Mistletoe is absolutely gorgeous! I find that it’s a bit easier to remove glitter polishes when I first paint a coat of regular polish, so I did paint one coat of Nicole by OPI Sealed With a Kris, and then painted two coats of Underneath the Mistletoe.
Started “follow” you on twitter due to your wonderful craft videos, then this started popping up on my dashboard and I must say you have inspired me to start painting my nails again :) Thank you :)
Hey Kristina! So I have very recently become interested (read OBSESSED lol) with painting my own nails and have enjoyed all your tips and tricks. I tried glitter polish for the first time the other day and had a heck of a time getting it all off my nails so I’m thankful for your tip about applying a base color first. My hubby just bought me one of the OPI liquid sand colors – do you have any and wondering if you think I need to do the same for easy removal?
Lynn- try the Zoya nail polish remover. It’s a bit pricey but it takes glitter off well.
Love this color. Looks similar to China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Beautiful.
so gorgeous~ can’t wait to get one for myself. Thanks for sharing!
uhm – yes please!
Hi Kristina… Thanks so
Much for the tip regarding using regular polish under glitter polish. Oh my goodness! I usually stay away from glitters because it’s so tough to remove. Thanks again! Lisa
I have promised myself no more polish. But this is a must have. It look stunning. Lynn I find glitter polish easier to remove by putting remover on a cotton pad leave it there wrap in a little tin foil and leave it for few minutes. It should just slide off. Liquid sand polish comes off much much easier then glitter polish.
I ran to Ulta to buy this color and I am in love. Thanks for the color base coat tip. I used an old OPI color I love, Bogota Blackberry and it looks so great.
i am in love with this color – i’m always sooo jealous of how perfect your nails look!!
