VIDEO: Polish Tips! Getting the perfect white manicure

I recently found some old video footage that I shot back in June. While I don’t like the particular polish color I used in the video (I think it’s technically a white neon), the tips included in the video are valuable because white (and super light) nail polishes are particularly challenging. It can be difficult to get perfect results.

Here are some tips and tricks for getting the best manicure possible when using white polishes. :)

NOTE: The polish I used is the video is Mod in Manhattan from Color Club. It was included in a Birchbox sample box.

Teal Stripes & White Dots

Experimenting with more tape manicures. I also tried a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen, which I really liked. I used the white pen for the dots and white stripes. Truth be told, I only did this on my left hand since I was just playing. I didn’t have time to attempt it on my right hand as well. Anyhow, it’s certainly fun! :)

Lighter Aqua: Color Club New Bohemian
Teal: Butter London Slapper

Nfu Oh 61 + Some Color Club Revvvolution Stamping

Started out with Nfu Oh 61 on bare nails. It seriously is the most amazing holo polish. Some say that the most current batches of 61 aren’t as holographic as the original, but since I don’t have the original, I wouldn’t know the difference. :)

Nfu Oh 61 photos taken without a topcoat. Then I added some stamping with Color Club Revvvolution, another amazing polish. It’s not nearly as holographic as Nfu Oh 61, but it’s pretty amazing in it’s own right. I finished it off with a topcoat (which did diminish the holographic effect on 61).

Base Color: Nfu Oh 61
Stamping Color: Color Club Revvvolution
Stamping Plate: Konad m57
