Trying out different reds for the upcoming holiday season. Today’s polish is Unlawful by Orly.
Sorry for not posting for SO long, guys! I’ve been posting nail pictures on my Instagram, though. Be sure to check those out.
Anyhow, this is definitely not one of the gruesome, scary Halloween manicures out there. Yikes! I’m definitely more of a Casper the Friendly Ghost type of Halloween celebrator. :)
Here are the details on each finger…
- Thumb: Essie Orange It’s Obvious with Cheeky CH6 plate stamped in Konad Special Polish in white
- Pointer Finger: OPI Black Onyx with Bundle Monster BM-H07 plate stamped in Konad Special Polish in white
- Middle Finger: Essie Orange It’s Obvious, Zoya Darcy, and OPI Alpine Snow, with China Glaze Fairy Dust on top
- Ringer Finger: OPI Black Onyx with Cheeky CH10 plate stamped in Konad Special Polish in white
- Pinky Finger: Essie Orange It’s Obvious with Orly Tiara on top
All nails were topped with Seche Vite topcoat. :)
So yesterday I tried out a pink cream polish with a CND Effects polish on top. That shimmer polish wasn’t the only CND polish I ordered from transdesign.com. I actually ordered quite a few. Definitely not all of them, but just ones I was interested in
You can see all of the polishes layered over different colors at nail blog The Edge of Insanity. I used her chart to help me make my decision on which ones to buy. :)
Today I’m wearing a black cream polish (Orly Liquid Vinyl) with two different Effects polishes on top. First I layered Sapphire Sparkle, which gave it a blue shimmer. Then I layered Amethyst Sparkle on top. It created the most interesting purple-ish blue shimmer. I wish you guys could see it in person! It’s such a unique combination!
Base Color: Orly Liquid Vinyl
Shimmer Polish 1: CND Effects Sapphire Sparkle
Shimmer Polish 2: CND Effects Amethyst Sparkle
Top Coat: Butter London Hardwear PD Quick Top Coat
Loving the bright blue of Orly Skinny Dip. Perfect for summer. Lots of shrinkage on this one with Seche Vite, though. When I wear it again, I’ll have to switch up the topcoat with something else.
