Rescue Beauty Lounge

Rescue Beauty Lounge Jack

I’ve been sporting super simple manicures recently. I tend to go through phases when I want something more involved (stamping, gradient, etc), and then I go through “just the polish” phases. Currently in the later. It surely makes manicures less time consuming. Ha! ;)

Today I’m wearing Rescue Beauty Lounge Jack. Such a pretty, deep teal. Perfect for fall. The shimmer is more apparent in the bottle or in direct sunlight. I sort of love the creamy look without the shimmer, too, so I love this polish in all lights. As usual, the RBL formula was buttery and smooth. :)

Rescue Beauty IKB: 2012 & pink stamping

I’ve been on a White Collar watching spree on Netflix. Anyone else watch that show? So addicting! While watching this afternoon, I decided to do a bit of nail stamping. I haven’t been in the mood for it lately (I got through phases), but I absolutely love this combination! :)

Base Color: Rescue Beauty Lounge IKB: 2012 (limited edition)
Stamping Color: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Presto Pink 210
Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster BM-310 (both designs are on one plate)
Top Coat: Seche Vite

Teal Pattern Stamping Manicure

I’m still trying out the new 2012 Bundle Monster image plates. As I was looking through all the designs, the pattern on plate BM-315 stood out to me. I also wanted to use a new color from Rescue Beauty called Jack In the Pulpit (available in a few weeks, I think. I pre-ordered). It’s such a pretty dark green that leans toward teal. So pretty!

I’m still SO impressed with the Bundle Monster plates. Just as Sammy found, the detail on these plates is amazing. :)

Base Color: Rescue Beauty Lounge Jack In the Pulpit
Stamping Color: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Mint Sprint
Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster BM-315

Blue Rays Manicure (NEW 2012 Bundle Monster image plate & Rescue Beauty Faraway Nearby)

I had a happy mail day on Saturday. Not only did my pre-order of Rescue Beauty Lounge’s Georgia On My Mind collection arrive (as swatched by the ever famous Scrangie), but so did the new 2012 Bundle Monster image plates. Yay! So excited for both of these!

So I tried out one of the polishes and one of the plates for a stamped manicure. I chose Faraway Nearby as the base color and stamped with BM-301 (the very first plate I saw as I opened the package) using Konad Special Polish in Light Blue. Such a fun rays design! Sort of makes me want to paint some clouds on it. :)

Rescue Beauty Lounge Chinoise

Morning, all! Today I have Rescue Beauty Lounge Chinoise on my nails. It’s such a beautiful red! Love love it!

I did need to do three coats, but I think if I had mixed up the polish (rolled the bottle in my hands) it might have been a better consistency and applied in just two coats. As it is now, I can just barely see my nail line. But it’s not too noticeable. After all, who will be looking at my hands with my nails only 10 inches away from their face except for me. :)

Application was great and it self leveled over time. I used the RBL Prep, Basecoat, and Topcoat as well. All were wonderful and a day later (I painted my nails yesterday afternoon), I have no chipping and no tip wear. I sort of want to wear this manicure for as long as possible to see how long it lasts.

Chinoise sort of reminds me of Pushing Your Luck from the Sephora by OPI Betsey Johnson collection. I might have to do a comparison swatch of different reds for you guys soon. :)

Rescue Beauty Lounge IKB: 2012

Oh. My. Word. I love this polish so much I can’t stand it!!I knew when I first saw swatches of it that I had to have it. I missed the pre-order, so I snagged it first thing when it went up for sale. And good thing! It’s already sold out!

The application was a bit different. Apparently, it’s had more pigment that regular polishes (hence the amazing color), so it was sort of… runny thick? I can’t describe it. But after the second coat, I was good to go. It dries to a satin finish and I like my nails super shiny, so I added some Seche Vite on top. LOVE!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Black Russian

I’ve been eying Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes for a while now and finally ordered a few polishes a couple weeks ago. They’re not the cheapest polishes in the world, but I’ve heard the quality of the polish is amazing. It’s hard to order polishes online without seeing them in person, but I took a chance and I’m glad I did. :)

When the package arrived, I immediately fell in love with Black Russian and knew I’d chosen wisely. It’s the perfect blend of dark vampy polish and a bit of red shimmer. I took this photo in my hotel room without good lighting (out of town at the moment), but believe me the shimmer is more apparent in natural light. :)
