Zoya Bevin

April 21, 2012

I wasn’t sure about this color at first, but it’s really growing on me. :)

I love the colors that Zoya offers but I struggle with what top coat to use. The Zoya Armor top coat has major bubbling issues for me. I’ve tried it multiple times and I just can’t get it right.

So this time I used CND Super Shiney top coat. It seemed to work a little bit better. When I took the above photos, I only had a few bubbles. But over the next hour or so, just like when I used the Zoya top coat, many more bubbles developed. I think next time I’ll use even thinner coats of the polish and allow even more drying time between coats. I suspect that’s the real underlying issue. I’ll have to report back.

    Hi Kristina,
I’ve had the same problems before and I realized it from from my basecoat instead! Have you tried a different basecoat? I also have that colour and it’s so perfect for spring and summer =]
    Have a great weekend!

oh, yes, Zoya is so picky with top coats. But they make such awesome colors, I can forgive them >_>

Luckily I found that the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat (comes in a red bottle) and works beautifully with Zoya :)

Love this color! Good to know about the top coat! You inspired (convinced hehe) me to go out and get the Sally Hansen cuticle eraser and the Nivea lotion!

You inspired me today too; spent a little time and cash at Sally’s on Nail Magic (with a free cuticle oil!) and some pretty colors on sale; just did some sponging and a glitter coat; Fun, fun, fun!
